Everyone involved with the HALO Kilmarnock was extremely sad to hear that one of our biggest supporters and friends, Stuart Brown sadly passed away last week.
Stuart may have been the Head of SME for Barclays Scotland but to everyone at the HALO he was so much more than that. He was a friend, an ally, a confidante and the main reason the HALO Kilmarnock is home to a Barclays Eagle Lab and why the banking giant brought Scotland’s first Thriving Local Economies initiative to Kilmarnock.
When working with the HALO over many years it was clear from day one that Stuart was a brilliant financier but more importantly he was a man with empathy, kindness, tenacity and someone who was always there to encourage and inspire his colleagues and friends.
Everyone at the HALO is absolutely devastated to hear of Stuart’s passing.
What I loved about Stuart was how he worked extremely hard every single day because he wanted to make a difference – to help make the world a better place.
We first met when he joined the HALO journey many years ago playing a major role in the success of our project but most importantly he became a true friend to us all – we will all miss him so, so much.
At such a sad time, our thoughts and prayers go out to Stuart’s wife Morag, daughter Alex and son Cameron, his extended family and friends.
