Marie Macklin, was one of three judges for this year’s Business Women Scotland Awards which were presented on Thursday 27th October at a glittering ceremony at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow.
The BWS Awards are designed to celebrate and reward the extraordinary entrepreneurship of Scotland’s business women and, as well as playing a full part in the judging panel, Marie took to the stage to present the award for New Entrepreneur of the Year.
Marie said: “It was a tough task picking winners as there were some great success stories, both from new and established companies. It was brilliant to see women leading companies in some not-so-glamorous industries, and being innovative, designing new products and taking them to market. As well as helping Scotland by providing jobs locally, many of these growing companies are exporting, and have great prospects.”
